Online registration closes at midnight on Thursday, February 16. After that, registration is available at packet pickup.
General Start: 8:00 a.m. for participants who will finish the race in 3 hours or less. Race has 2 starting waves based on mile time and 4 pace groups.
Early Start: 7:30 a.m for walkers, physically challenged athletes, and those needing an extra 30 minutes to finish. Early Start participants who finish in less than 3 hours are disqualified from receiving an award.
Start is located at the intersection of Broad and Main Streets in downtown Texarkana. (GPS location: 201 W Broad Street, Texarkana, Texas).
Participants must be at least 12 years old by race day. Strollers and dogs (other than service dogs) are not allowed on the course during the race. Everyone must finish by 11:00 a.m.
We’re proud to announce that Racquet & Jog, located at 3435 Richmond Road in Texarkana, Texas will be the home of our packet pick up along with late registration. Racquet & Jog is located on the north side of the building. A Feetures rep will be there with a special promotion on socks. An Adidas rep will be available for consultation on running shoes.
Packet pickup and late registration are at Racquet & Jog on Friday, February 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Racquet & Jog. On race day, packet pickup and late registration are at the downtown race site in the west end of the Bi-State Justice Building (GPS location: 201 W Broad Street, Texarkana, Texas). Late registration is payable only by cash or check.
A friend or family member may pick-up your packet if you email your request including your name and bib number, and the person’s name to the Race Administrator before 12:00 noon on Friday, February 17. Email your request to email@example.com. The person who picks up your packet needs your bib number.
Bring an electronic or paper copy of your Registration Confirmation form with your Bib Number to pick up your packet. If you did not retain a copy of your Registration Confirmation, go to Registration Confirmation for a copy. Packet pickup stations are in bib number order.
GPS Starting Line location: 201 W Broad Street, Texarkana, Texas, in downtown Texarkana at Broad and Main Streets intersection.
From Interstate 30: Exit Stateline Avenue and go south approximately 3 miles. Go around the Post Office and continue on Stateline Avenue for 3 blocks. The starting line is 1 block to your right on Broad Street. Park in any open parking lots, on Broad Street, or parking lots south of Broad Street.
From I-549: Take the Texas Loop and exit South Stateline. Turn right on South Stateline. Exit 3rd Street to the right. Go to Stateline Avenue. The starting line is 1 block south on Stateline Avenue, then 1 block to your right on Broad Street. Park in any open parking areas, on Broad Street, or parking lots south of Broad Street.
The t-shirt is unisex 100% soft cotton and a little fitted, not boxy.
Top three female and male finishers Overall, Master, Grand Master, and Senior; Top three female and male in age groups 12-19, 20-24, 25-29, and every 5 years thereafter to 80+; Top female and male Walkers; Top 3 places for 2-Person Relay Teams; Top place for 4-Person Relay Team. Only one award per person. The top three female and male Overall finishers will each receive a $100 gift certificate.
Teams may be composed of runners and/or fast walkers. Each member of a 2-person team completes 2.55 miles. Each member of a 4-person team completes about 3.28 miles. Team names will be required for all relay teams. Finishing time will be captured for each team, not for individual team members. Everyone must complete the race by 11:00 a.m.
Participants who cannot register online may use the 2017 Entry Form. Participants under the age of 18 may register on line but they are also required to submit a paper entry form with a parent’s or guardian’s signature. Mail-in registrations must be received by Thursday, February 16. After that, registration is available at packet pickup and payable only by cash or check.
Special rates are available only by calling the host hotels to make a reservation and requesting rooms reserved for the Run the Line Half Marathon. Special Run the Line rates are available until February 12th. Reservations at this rate may apply after February 12th based on availability. Both hotels offer a hot breakfast beginning at 6:00am. Late checkout is available until 1:00 PM if you request it.

The race timer is Mac’s Race Timing Service. Their website is http://www.macsrts.com. Mac is a runner and highly recommended by several Arkansas races and runners. Mac’s timing tags attach to your shoe and are to be returned. Volunteers will be in the finish line area to collect the timing tags.

We’ll have plenty of entertainers along the course AND at the finish line this year, including: Mile 2 – Milam Albright, DJ Mile 7 – Donnie Hunt, Glad You Came DJs (More info here) Mile 10 – Mystery Spot…unless you’ve run the race, you’ll never guess what’s waiting here….. Weather in the Texarkana area is generally mild. Some years we’ve begun the race in the low 30’s and others in the low 50’s. (The general rule for distance running is to add twenty degrees to the forecast to know how you’ll feel once you’re warmed up).
Bringing the family? Kids 5 through 13 participate every year in the Kids Run the Line TOO event on Saturday, February 18th at 4:00 p.m. The fun run takes place on the campus of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System at the Fitness Center Parking Lot. Take Me To The Kids Run the Line TOO Website.
